Navigation
After you folks (mi gente, mi gente!) did such a great job on
adding all the images toa page, it's time for a greater
challenge. This week we focus on NAVIGATION.
You need to do 4 things:
1. Fix the Navigation
=====================
Only one of the navigation links works. The rest need to be fixed.
This is similar to how we fixed the "img src" references last class.
2. Define the Terms
===================
Add your definition for each page. Don't just copy a definition.
Put it in your own words.
3. Give a Pictoral Example
==========================
Include an image on your page as an example of this term. When
you define integrity, you could put a picture of someone on your
page that acts with integrity. When you define community, you
could find a person or thing that helps build community, etc.
4. Add to the Comments
======================
Each page includes comments. Add some of your own.
4.1 One More Thing
===================
Be Creative! Change the background colors, font face -- make
your site unique.
It might be a little confusing at first, but view the source code
and look at the "Click Here" link carefully. If you change
href="index.html" to href="etico.html" it will change the
navigation once you refresh the page. Try it and then change it
back to href="index.html".
Instead of the attribute 'href' equaling a global address
(http://yahoo.com), it is set to a local address (index.html). To
make your navigation work, you will need to correct each page so
that each anchor tag has the correct value. Once you do the
first page the next one should be easy.
Click here to download the .zip file you need to get started.
To "Extract" a .Zip file
===================
- In the "File Download" prompt box, click "Save"
- In the "Save As" prompt box, locate where you want to save the file to and click "Save"
- Double-click the .Zip file.
- Click "Use Evaluation Version"
- Click "Extract"
- In the "Extract" prompt box, choose the location you would like the files extracted to.
- Find the files or folder you extracted and get to work!
